Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership (AHSCP) provides health and social care services in Aberdeenshire. This includes all supports and services for people living with dementia and their unpaid carers. The AHSCP is overseen by the Integration Joint board who are seeking to engage with anyone with an interest in dementia locally on the development of a new Dementia Strategy for Aberdeenshire.
Scotland’s National Dementia Strategy 2017 – 2020 states, “Our shared vision is of a Scotland where people with dementia and those who care for them have access to timely, skilled and well-coordinated support from diagnosis to end of life which helps achieve the outcomes that matter to them.”
In line with the direction of Scotland’s National Dementia Strategy and our local priorities we are keen to gather views on 4 main areas of Dementia support and services;
- Getting a diagnosis of dementia
- Living well with dementia
- Care and support for people living with dementia
- Support for unpaid carers and families of people with dementia
We would like you to be involved in determining what our priorities should be regarding dementia.
